Quality Assurance
1) Our QA Policy
We document, test, and trace every lot we supply. Each shipment includes CoA and SDS, and we retain counter-samples for verification.
Quick facts (icons): CoA/SDS per lot · Retained samples 12–24 months · Documented specs & methods
2) What We Test
Acacia Gum
Identity & purity against JECFA/FCC/E414
Typical tests: Moisture, Ash, Insoluble matter, Viscosity (mPa·s), pH, Micro (TPC, Yeast/Mold)
Optional: Heavy metals (Pb, As), Pesticide screen
Activated Carbon
Performance: Iodine number, Methylene Blue value, Surface area (BET)
Physical: Mesh size, Bulk density, Moisture, Ash
Application: Phenol/iodine adsorption on request; drinking-water contact compliance (NSF/ANSI 61) via partner SKUs where applicable
Natural Waxes (Soy / Beeswax / Carnauba)
Physical: Melting point, Hardness/Penetration, Color/Appearance
Quality: Acid value, Saponification value, Peroxide value
Cosmetic suitability: Residual solvents, Allergens (if relevant)
Methods referenced: AOAC / ISO / ASTM (listed on CoA)
3) Specifications & Acceptance Criteria (examples)
Acacia Gum (typical)
Moisture ≤ 12%
Ash ≤ 4%
Viscosity (25 °C, 25% w/v): 60–100 mPa·s
Micro: TPC ≤ 10³ cfu/g; Yeast/Mold ≤ 10² cfu/g; Pathogens: not detected
Activated Carbon (coconut, 12×40 mesh)
Iodine number ≥ 1000 mg/g
Moisture ≤ 5% · Ash ≤ 8%
Mesh 12×40 (U.S. Sieve) ≥ 90%
Soy Wax (premium flakes)
Melting point 45–52 °C
Acid value ≤ 1.0 mg KOH/g
Peroxide value ≤ 10 meq/kg
(Replace with your actual ranges.)
4) Sampling & Release
Sampling plan: ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 (AQL) or defined lot subsampling (e.g., n≥3 per lot)
Release workflow: Supplier CoA → Incoming check → In-house verification (as needed) → QA release → Ship with CoA/SDS
Retained samples: 12–24 months, sealed and labeled (lot/date/spec)
5) Traceability & Documentation
Lot code format: TN-[ProductCode]-[YYYYMM]-[####]
Records: Supplier batch → TN lot → Test results → Shipment records
Change control: Any spec/method change is notified before next shipment
6) Supplier Qualification
Onboarding questionnaire and risk scoring
Annual supplier audits (remote/on-site)
Document pack: HACCP/ISO (as applicable), Halal/Kosher letters, compliance statements
7) Storage & Shelf Life (guidance)
Acacia Gum: cool, dry, sealed; typical 24–36 months (confirm per lot)
Activated Carbon: dry, closed; avoid cross-contamination; typical 36 months
Waxes: cool, away from sunlight; typical 24–36 months
Packaging integrity checks at receipt and pre-ship
8) Compliance & Safety
Food: FCC/JECFA/E414 conformity (Acacia); Japan Food Sanitation Act readiness
Chemicals: GHS/CLP-aligned SDS; REACH status (if EU)
Cosmetics: ISO 22716 alignment for handling/repack (when applicable)
9) Non-Conformance & CAPA
Reporting window: within 5 business days of receipt (recommended)
Process: Issue log → Root cause → CAPA → Preventive checks
Replacements/credits handled per supply agreement

12) QA FAQ
Can you test additional parameters (e.g., pesticides, heavy metals)? Yes—on request.
Can you match a viscosity/iodine number? Provide targets; we’ll recommend grades.
Do you keep retained samples? Yes—12–24 months.
Will you sign NDAs? Yes.
